Trauma and human suffering is inevitable, and unfortunately it impacts people of every race, age, and socioeconomic status. While most individuals are resilient and able to recover, others may develop Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, depression, anxiety, alcohol and drug use, and serious self-harm behaviors.
At Community Impact: Consultation & Psychological Services, we provide evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy to individuals and families exposed to traumatic events, consultation services to organizations seeking to create a trauma-informed organizational culture, and supervision for master’s level clinicians pursuing applied skills and professional development.
We are dedicated to strengthening the mental health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities impacted by traumatic and stressful events.
We seek to uplift, empower, and heal individuals and families exposed to trauma by utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions. We aim to augment the skill set of trauma-informed service providers and health care professionals by training a community of clinicians who aspire to impact and change society. We plan to create a culture of trauma-informed organizations by promoting awareness of the impact of trauma and helping organizations identify and implement specific strategies to acknowledge and address the effects of trauma.
