THERAPY

Trauma-Informed Therapy

If you are the victim or witness of a traumatic event (e.g., sexual or physical abuse, community violence, death or loss of someone close to you, military/combat exposure), we recommend trauma-informed therapy. Trauma-specific treatment will help you understand the physical, emotional, and social impact of trauma, process memories and beliefs associated with the traumatic event, identify and practice coping skills and strategies, and develop a more adaptive understanding of the traumatic experience.

At Community Impact, we are trained and/or certified in the following trauma-informed mental health treatment interventions:

  1. Acute Traumatic Incident Processing (A-Tip)

  2. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  3. Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

  4. Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PET)

  5. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

Teletherapy

At Community Impact, our goal is to increase access to mental health services by providing teletherapy. Teletherapy is the online delivery of mental health services via live video conferencing, which can be accessed anywhere with a computer, web camera, and internet. Teletherapy is an accessible and convenient option for those who are unable to attend therapy due to barriers that include access to care, work schedules, transportation, and child care. Community Impact therapists are trained in providing the highest quality of evidence-based mental health treatment interventions, all of which can be offered via teletherapy.

At Community Impact, we provide the following mental health treatment interventions via live video conferencing:

  1. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  2. Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy (CBFT)

  3. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  4. Integrated Therapy

  5. Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)

  6. Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
